
Thomas William Selleck is an American actor from America. His most well-known role was Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in Magnum, P.I. He was nominated for five Emmy Awards as Outstanding Lead Actor In a Drama Series (1980-1988) as well as took home the Emmy Award in 1985. Since 2010, Selleck has appeared in the role of New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. Since 2005, he has played the character of Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief in small-town New York City. Also, he's been featured in nine television films which are based on Robert B. Parker novels. Selleck also played the character of Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect, in Three Men and a Baby (1987) as well as Three Men and a Little Lady (90). Alongside his appearances in Magnum, P.I., Selleck has appeared in more than 50 movies and TV shows, including the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Baseball and Lassiter. He was on TV in various recurring roles as Monica Geller's love interest Dr. Richard Burke on Friends and as Lance White, the likeable and unassuming partner on The Rockford Files, and as the owner of the casino A.J.
