Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on March 10 the year 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer and former factory worker Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her siblings. Stone was considered academically gifted when she was a kid and started the second grade when she was five. In 1975 Stone graduated from Saegertown high school located in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). Additionally, she participated at the Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone moved to New Jersey with her aunt New Jersey, where she was interested in pursuing a modeling career. A month later, Stone signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency. While in Europe, she lived for a year in Milano and Paris. Stone was unhappy with the model market in Europe, and chose to concentrate on acting. At the age of 20, she appeared in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," a film that received mixed praises.
